Meditation is the art of being fully present in the moment, free of memories and fantasies so that we can enjoy living skillfully in daily life. We will discuss what meditation really means and the many benefits that have been measured.
You will be guided through simple movements to relax from head to toe and breathing practices to help you prepare for a guided 4 step meditation.
You will learn various ways to meditate: focusing on the calming sensations of your breathing or by remembering a selected sound or word to give the mind a quiet inward focus while the mind, body and nervous system are rested.
No experience is needed. Practice within your comfort level.
Note: Please bring a yoga mat, and either a small cushion or towel.
